Church Cabinet Sets Goals for 2010
The church cabinet, consisting of chairs of ministry departments, board officers, and chair of trustees, met last Sunday for an afternoon of sharing dreams and visions for this congregation for this year. As a result, the cabinet identified six goals for 2010: Click on the goals for more details and to track the process toward their accomplishment.
1. To call a full time associate minister with major emphasis on youth ministry and technology.
Updated June 23, 2010
2. Church growth, which includes spiritual, numerical, and stewardship. This goal is based on the conviction that this church’s mission, vision, bedrock beliefs, and core values are founded on our understanding of the gospel which needs to be shared so others may experience God’s love and grace which was best revealed to us through Jesus.
3. Transportation Ministry: To develop and implement a ministry that ensures all people to full participate in congregational life.
Updated August 16, 2010
4. Enhance communication regarding this church’s ministries that better inform and invite members and non-members to share in ministry opportunities and participate more fully in congregational life.
5. Community involvement: To continue being involved in the city of San Angelo and surrounding area, both congregationally and individually, so that Christ’s presence is made known to others.
Updated June 23, 2010
6. Develop additional ministries for adults that nourishes their spirit and develops meaningful relationships.
These goals are exciting and will happen! Keep this congregation in your prayers so that through God’s empowering spirit, we can meet these goals in the name of the Christ we serve.
