Genesis 1-11: From Adamah to Ziggurat

Join FCC in an investigation of the pre-patriarchal Bible stories found in Genesis 1-11.  Explore the biblical accounts of Creation, the Garden of Eden, Cain and Abel, Noah and the Flood, and the Tower of Babel.  The class will not only review the traditional interpretations of these stories, but also explore what biblical scholars have to say about these events.  The Bible study will also discuss how these accounts, from the time before Abraham, still speak to people of faith today.  There are no fees or costs involved for the Bible study, and participants need only bring their Bible (any translation) to the study.  The class will be taught by Ken Coley in the church library both on Tuesday mornings from 10:30-11:30 AM beginning January 18, 2011, and on Wednesday nights as part of WOW from 6:15-7:15 PM beginning January 19, 2011.  Almost every Bible student has studied the Book of Genesis at one time or another; however, those who attend this class will experience the early chapter of Genesis as never before!
